Oh, my!
Dr. Abdullah lied that I was bipolar ( I never had been), lied that I had hallucinations ( I never had), lied that I was getting ECT treatments ( absolutely a lie ). When confronted, they said it was in my chart, but couldn’t show me where! ( That’s because it was never in there!)
No apology. Then, the lies continued about other things.
They said that I couldn’t have an increase on my Morphine as I didn’t have cancer.
They refused to consider an ablation even though my insurance gave it go. They wouldn’t even discuss it. Please go elsewhere. These folks are NOT caring or helpful.
The other staff at the University are phenomenal! NOT these.
There are several caring, professional places to go. Run away from this place. Shame on the University!

I was sent to this clinic for nerve pain following some botched surgeries in my hand. I struggle because I think the providers here are knowledgeable and compassionate, but scheduling is atrocious. It takes months to get seen, months to schedule treatments, and then if you ask a question over my chart they respond with things like “that sounds like a great question to ask at your next appointment” which may be months away. I’ve heard great things about the U healthcare, but my doctors at Intermountain are so much more helpful and will actually answer simple questions over message between appointments. I have to keep going here because it’s a workers comp claim, but I would change providers if I could simply because it’s ridiculous to ask people in severe pain to wait 4 months to even try a treatment. Hire more providers, lengthen hours, or find a solution to not make patients wait 3 months between appointments to ask questions and get help.

All the staff at the pain clinic are kind and compassionate. They take the necessary time to listen to me so that they fully understand my health concerns. I have never before felt more heard and cared for than I have at the pain clinic.

They don't care about people with chronic pain they are unwilling to help them in any meaningful way. They know best all the time they will screw with meds not relating to pain. They will ask questions that will be dehumanizing and have no bearing on your pain.

I have been so happy with my treatment at the Pain Management Center. I suffered with severe vertigo for years. I work with Tami, a physical therapist at the clinic who has continued to offer me solutions and treatments to mitigate my vertigo almost entirely. Both Tami and Dr. Bokat have helped identify the cause of my vertigo to provide me with solutions that have improved my life enormously!

I accompanied a close friend to an appointment so I could drive her home. We arrived and were informed that the appointment was scheduled for the wrong day by an employee who no longer worked with the institution. My friend is severely disabled by chronic pain, and after begging with front desk staff for anything to be done for today, we were met with rolling eyes, insincere platitudes, and apathetic apologies. The service we received was akin to speaking with a robotic kiosk devoid of empathy. The interaction absolutely devastated my friend, and the poor scheduling completely ruined my friend’s plans for her family and multiple other medical appointments she has scheduled next week.

I was referred to pain management because of endometriosis pain. They had me talk to a psychologist and a physical therapist for the first couples of months and told me to take part in some classes teaching about chronic pain. I had already been through the classes for chronic pain in a different state and I told them this. After a few visits to the physical therapist she told me she couldn't help me and that I needed to do talk therapy more. So I did. Dr Yelsa is a very nice man I liked him a lot he really seemed to care about me but unfortunately it wasn't helping so I asked to see Dr Jackman who oversaw my case. She didn't respond and i couldn't get in to see her. A few months go by and still nothing I had to have my primary care doctor escalate things for me. When I finally see her she tells me its my fault I haven't seen her and that nothing is working. She tries to prescribe multiple medications that my primary and I have already tried and they were all noted in my chart. Then we go on to two different treatments both of which did not work. Two months later at our follow up Dr Jackman tells me that she can no longer help me. I feel neglected and like I did not receive quality care from pain management. She acted like she did not care about me as a patient at all.
