I was a new student here a while ago. This building is not properly laid out. It's a bit confusing and you don't know where to go first to enroll and ask questions about your classes.
Needs more signage.
Also when I finally found the information desk. The young man and woman are not very professional and rude.
Ask them both a couple of questions and as I was walking away I could hear them both laughing. I did not tell a joke.

I hope things at SLCC are better now from my experience but I doubt it.

I'm currently enrolled at SLCC and have had a great experience, especially with the teachers and courses I've taken in person at the South City Campus. When I read some of the negative reviews, I wonder if they’re talking about the same school I attend.

I've been fortunate to have incredibly helpful and accommodating advisors during my time here. They’ve always been available to guide me through my academic journey. Programs like Bruin Scholars also show SLCC’s commitment to student success.

One thing I do wish is that they offered more in-person classes, as I personally prefer those to online courses. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but overall, I think SLCC is headed in the right direction.

It's disappointing to see how far SLCC has gone downhill in the recent years. I remember the campus having more resources and better ones for that.
The tutors do not attend their own sessions they have posted online. So its impossible to find help on your assignments. The teachers will often say "check out the tutoring center", but that does nothing since you can never reach someone. I'm assuming the teachers feel their time could be spent doing better things than teach their students.
The study Hall never has the lights turned on in the morning. Even when 10+ students are in there studying. Even worse, I see the janitor come by and recognize there are students in there studying and they will just walk away. Even an hour after they're already late opening at 9:00, the lights aren't turned on.
I am disappointed to pay tuition here only to have SLCC spend all their money on the Taylorsville campus and recourses. Which really aren't much better than the South City campus. DO BETTER SLCC...

If I could give zero stars, I would, because the money I spent on a class was not worth it: a preparation course for an exam with their passing rate of 57% - and they think that's GOOD. I am appalled at the instructor not updating the materials and at the coordinator for not holding the program to higher expectations. Multiple questions on the midterm and final exam were essentially the same - or asked simple things such as what abbreviations stand for - I learned more from just reading the textbooks, and I am 100% NOT prepared to take the certification exam. Very disappointing.

The maps outside have limited information. Not helpful at all. The ones inside have no "you are here" identification spots either. Super frustrating and a waste of time. A few simple fixes to this would make things a helluva a lot easier for everyone.

I graduated from SLCC in 2019 and took all of my classes at this campus. When I first started they had to cancel classes due to low enrollment which is odd because I find it's location the easiest to commute to. Go here avoid the crowded gen ed classes at the U. I do wish they offered more daytime classes as they have transitioned into more of a night school. The support staff such as financial aid and academic advisors could be better.

My wife used their testing center for a certification exam and it was very convenient.
